¶ "The Passionate Friends" was David Lean film production starring Ann Todd, Clauded Rains, and Trevor Howard. Eric Ambler (with Stanley Haynes) adapted it from the H.G. Wells novel of the same name; it was released in the US under the title "One Woman's Story". Very scarce
