The work is a history of England between 1066 - 1122. Whilst dealing with mainly Ecclesiastical affairs ( Lanfranc, the relationship between Anselm & William II and Henry I, the Investiture controversy etc ) Eadmer was an able Chronicler & the work remains a valuable history of the period.
