Chapters 11 to 22, later additions, are devoted exclusively to a discussioin of prayer in metaphoric terms, and of its stages.[official statements, Teresian Carmel order]. The writing is poetic and remarkably clear. The preferred French translation, but rare. There are no copies in OCLC, COPAC, BL, KVK, except for that in the BN, the French NUC shows no Locs. Our copy is marred by two small original paper flaws. The first on the lower outer corner of the HT affects no text. The second Pp. 409/410, affect the last two or three letters on the last two lines on 409, and on 410 only the first 3 letters of the last line. OW a lovely clean, pure white copy in Orig. calf, with a richly gilt spine, 5 raised bands, and gilt title. Both the crown and foot of the spine have been restored, OW VG..
