He claims that they represent an impurity of belief which derives from pagan times and is not intrinsic to Christianity. Thus a study of the psychology of a mass witch hunt. Of interest also because the frontispiece, only found here, a satiric etching of a witches sabbath, has been identified by Malcolm Johnson as by D. C. Johnston, from a drawing in his possession.
