Real-photo postcard; 3 1/2 x 5 1/2; cancelled stamp and manuscript address to verso; a few minor spots to margins; in very good condition. A double-advertisement, the recto of the card - illustrated with an image of several magnificent show hogs - advertised the Inter-State Live Stock Show in St. Joseph, Missouri in September of 1908. The verso of the card, titled: "Howdy, Neighbor!," advertised The St. Joseph Star, a daily newspaper running from 1905 to 1908, with O. P. Newman, Editor. It also announced the upcoming subscription raise from a $1 annually to $1.50 annually. Very good .
