Description: Berkeley, CA: Thomas Parkinson, 1985. Typed manuscript. 8-1/2 x 11 typing paper stapled once in upper left corner. Fair copy of a paper by scholar, editor and poet Thomas Parkinson. Inscribed by Parkinson "Dearest Mary-Without you, this could never have been. Lots of love from all to you. Thom." Another note in Parkinson's hand: "Modern Language Association 1985." Parkinson was an important critic and chronicler of the poets of the San Francisco Renaissance and Beat eras. Also included: original mailing envelope, hand-addressed by Parkinson to Mary Zyler. Envelope is somewhat worn and creased, and ink on label is smudged. Ms. itself is in Very Good plus condition, with no yellowing or staple rust, and only minor handling wear. .
