MILLER, GEORGE E. Birthday greeting to Doris Johnson, 1937.Lower Lake, Calif., 1937. Handmade birthday greeting card to painter Doris Johnson, wife of Gardiner Johnson, from her father. Two complete photographs, one of Mr. & Mrs. Miller, the other of Mrs. Johnson, are attached to a sheet of paper with holes cut to expose the heads of Mr. Miller and Mrs. Johnson, on which is written, "Happy Birthday Doris Dear" and "Thank You Daddy"; dated 1937 in the corner. In original envelope postmarked December 9, 1937 from Lower Lake, Calif. and addressed to Mrs. Johnson on Haste St., Berkeley; the postage stamp has been removed. Item is in near fine condition with some glue stains.
