Weber a noted 19th century physicist [magnetic unit named in his honor]; this his copy, with his bold signature written across the top of the front wrapper. Thomson a prominent scientist of the era, who was known for a large variety of discoveries, and also his dispute with Huxley over the Earth's antiquity. Also included is a piece by George Biddell Airy, and a report from Malta by noted astronomer, William Lassell.
