Label for Porter's Horse and Cattle Powder, which purportedly "benefits and invigorates the whole animal system -- produces Life and Style -- gives the Skin a sleep appearance -- promotes a disposition to fatten quickly with less feed -- removes all crudities and impurities -- causes the functions of the Lungs, Liver, Kidneys, Bowels, etc. to operate in perfect order, and is applicable to all animals in every condition." Additionally, the powder is advertised to prevent and cure chicken cholera, as well as stimulate egg production.
