Description: Foleshill, Coventry: W. H. Grant, Manufacturer, (n. d.). ca 1890. Stiff pale green mount with inner gilt border and printed black lettering, backed with an advertisement for other woven silk items on offer from W.H. Grant. Woven silk portrait of Gladstone in b/w with pink and purple woven flowers at base. Portrait: ~ 4-1/2" x 2-5/8". Mount: ~ 6-3/4" x 4-3/8". Tear to head of mount and partially to backing; closed tear to foot of mount; light soil/some loss to paper overlay of mount. Two small faint spots to portrait, else clean and bright. Good condition, withal.
