Original publisher's brown cloth with gilt lettering to front board., VG (wear @ the tips, with board showing/period pos to ffep). ¶ Includes the 'missing' XIIIth amendment, which addresses the loss of US citizenship should a foreign title of nobility be assumed. This amendment was introduced in 1810 and adopted by only 12 states, the last in 1812, though to this day there are those who assert the de facto passage of this act, despite its absence from the current publication of the Constitution [google 'missing XIIIth].
