Original plain paper printed dust wrapper is slightly faded on the backstrip section, and rubbed at the head and tail of the backstrip, and the top of the rear fold over. The book itself is in very good order, with 16 pages of illustrations in black-and-white. While biographies of the early Medici abound, this is still the main book on the decline of that great family, whose name is in separately linked with Florence and its arts.
