The cloth appears to have been attacked by insects, but there is no corresponding damage to the wrapper. The dust jacket is rubbed, chipped, and discoloured. A digital image can be provided. The theme of this biography is the life and death of the author's generation; a generation integrated and vitalised by British precedent -- but Australian, not British; a prowled and possess a generation that, like its British counterpart, was decimated and dispossessed by two world wars.
