The text is illustrated with 32 pages of colour photography, scattered through out the text in four-page blocks. Red coloured boards with gilt titles to the backstrip. A little bumping to the backstrip edges and rubbing to the book corners. Light dust marks to the text block edge. Photographic dustwrapper, showing dawn at Sukothai, on the front panel, and on the rear panel a scene from the great fresco at the Temple of the Emerald Buddha in Bangkok. White titles to the front panel and backstrip. Minimal rubbing and creasing to the dustwrapper edges. There is an abrasion mark to the front dustwrapper panel, commensurate with the removal of a sticker. Colour photograph of the author to the rear fold over panel. A few foxing spots to the verso of the dustwrapper. This book was put out in conjunction with the ABC television series of the same name and it follows the journey of the author through the Kingdom of Thailand. Size: 4to - up to 12" tall - Quarto.
