Ex. lib copy with spine marking and a book plate on front pastedown, but no other markings, etc. Corners bumped and worn, spine rolled slightly forward and spine ends worn.Boards are rubbed. Two 2+" splits at front and rear joints. Front hinge a bit weak, ffep wrinkled and has former owner inscription, text clean and without foxing. Account of the author's two expeditions to Africa in 1850 and 1854.
