Bound in full brown leather, with an elaborate gilt-stamped pattern on the covers. Four raised spine bands with gilt embellishments and title in the spine compartments. Crimson silk moire end papers and a bound-in silk book mark. All edges are gilt. A spectacular morocco binding, as only the Easton Press can do, for a spectacular edition of this classic Greek masterpiece. Fine condition. No defects and no book plates or any other indications of former owners. As with almost all Easton Press books, this one was probably never opened until we did so to catalog it and it certainly has never been read. A pristine edition. Laid in is an unused Easton Press book plate.
