Bound in 3/4 burgundy leather over marbled paper-covered boards. Four raised spine bands with gilt-stamped title and decorations in the compartments. Top edges are gilt and the fore and bottom edges are deckled (untrimmed). Marbled end papers. The spines have faded to a golden brown, but have done so uniformally, so the set is still very attractive. Very light shelf wear (exept the rear joint on vol.
