Seven canvass-backed folded sheets, 3 panels, 23 x 17.5 cm. each with a "Before" and "After" sepia 21 x 14.5 photograph on the 2nd and third inside panels, with data filled in by hand, and two punch holes, on the first inside panel. The documents were prepared by the 1st Field Survey Company, R.E. They record the details of particular siege batteries of the Canadian Corps during the last half of 1917. Locations were Noyelles, Mericourt, Mortar Wood, Annay, & Cité St Auguste. Batteries were the 52 Siege Batttery, the 96th, the 308th,, the 6th, and the 5th. The aerial photos of were taken by Major Portal, D.S.O. M.C. Lt. White, Lt. Fergusson, Lt. Neily, and Lt. Prember, all of the 16th Squad, R.F.C. The charts also record the dates, map references, caliber of the howitzers, and comments on hits and damage. Some external browning but nice condition in all. A fascinating grouping of the detailed records kept of the activities of Canadian gunners in WWI.
