Spine a bit worn at head, with neat cloth repairs; ink gift inscription on first blank; first title page has an ink name at top margin and three ink smudges to a blank area; usual yellowing to page edges; rear inner hinge cracked but firm; in all, still a VG clean and tight copy. 1874 complete in 12 issues. Contributions by Wilkie Collins, Christina Rossetti, "Fidelis", Gladstone, C.P. Traill, George Eliot, Swinburne, William Morris, Grant Allen, Agnes Strickland, Longfellow, and many others.
