Jacket has small chips to head of spine (no lettering lost); large chip top of rear panel with partial loss of four letters; brown stains from removed tape; long tear to spine internally mended. Still, an essentially complete example, lacking nothing of great consequence. The reknowned theatre critic's first novel, and thirrd book, scarce in any sort of jacket. UK ed. was in 1919.
