Original olive cloth decorated in blind, spine gilt lettered, terra cotta endpapers (ads on pastedowns). pp [8], 210, vi (A List of New Works) + 24 pp March, 1856, publisher's catalogue. Binder's ticket at rear (Westley's, London). Spine slightly sunned, with a narrow cloth chip at head (no lettering affected), partial cloth splits to joints neatly mended; VG clean, tight and unworn copy otherwise, no owner names, inner hinges not cracked. Second issue ads (earliest were Nov. 1854).
