Spine has very lightly sunning, minor wear at tips; page edges yellowed; else a fine copy, no previous owner marks, inner hinges not cracked. The Companion has sections on "The Progress of the Doctrine of the Earth's Motion, between the time of Copernicus and Galileo, being Notes on the Antegalilean Copernicus" (p 5-25), census of the USA, sanitary state of town dwellings, occupations of the people, fluctuations of funds, average price of corn, a large second pertaining to Acts of Parliament, architecture and public improvements, chronicle of occurence 1853-54, and more.
