Lathrop, 1891. 4to, colour pictorial boards. 64 pp. Spine a bit rubbed; tanning to spine and rear cover; short splits to joints at top and bottom; lower outer corner of front cover has a small suface chip and a narrow bit of paper covering chipped away at edge; in ner hinges cracked; tanning to pastedowns and to first and last leaf from binding materials; two inch tear to lower margin of pp 41-42 repaired with clear archival paper tape (no lettering lost); rubbing to edges of covers; in all still VG, with the pictorial front cover bright and unrubbed, sound in the binding. Made from Volume 19, numbers 1-8, 7 November - 12 December, 1891, of the children's periodical The Pansy. Continuous pagination. Illustrations, stories, and poems by various contribut ors.
