Description: Hand colored view of the building of the Boterwaag, the weigh house for butter in The Hague (de Boterwaag in Den Haag). On the right, the current Groote Markt square. In the foreground a vegetable market. This print was used in: Jacob de Riemer's: Beschryving van 's-Graven-Hage... Delft and Den Haag, 1730-1739.Titled above, on a ribbon: ''T GROOT BOTERHUIS.' Signed at bottom: 'G.v. Giessen del. / R. Boitet Excud. Cum Privil'.  Handcolored etching on paper with margins; plate mark: 283 x 347 mm, total: 312 x 361 mm; two sheets joined together on the verso; aging paper, some light staining, and smudges along the margins, otherwise in good condition.
