JAMIESON, ALEXANDER. A Dictionary of Mechanical Science, Arts, Manufactures, and Miscellaneous Knowledge. Sixth Edition.
London, Henry Fisher, 1829. Two volumes complete. 70 engraved plates and maps [of 71 -see below], most plates with some marginal foxing, some hundreds of wood engraved text illustrations, iv,544,(2),545-1066,(2)pp. in 2 volumes, 4to., contemporary marbled calf gilt, joints just cracking but very firm. ¶ The missing plate,'Architecture II - Ionic Order and Mouldings' was never bound in this set. First published in 1827, I can find records of only the first edition, this 'Sixth Edition' and a 'Seventh Edition' of 1832. Did editions 2-5 ever exist? However, all editions seem scarce.

Offered for AUD 750.00 = appr. US$ 597.75 by: David Spode (ANZAAB/ILAB) - Book number: 3813
