Spine with raised bands, bands accented with single-rule in gilt; title compartment lettered in gilt. Boards rubbed, more pronounced at extremities; corners raw. Textblock with dirty smudges. Dedication page with closed tear at inner margin. Illustrated with 60 woodcut vignettes and plates by Bayard. Along with the missing title page and colophon, pp.361 / 362 and pp.363 / 364 are likewise missing.
