Binding slightly cocked, lightly worn from use. Boards rubbed, light chipping at head and heel of spine. Corners bumped. Front cover rough-opened. Toned spot to front EPs. With occasional dirtied spot from the turning of pages (restricted to occasional margin / corner, as expected). Three "explanations" removed from their respective places in the volume, laid-in at front. Top corner of the "Cricket Fiddler" leaf torn. With the prospective covers on illustrated card-stock, title pages, sample of text, illustrations, vignettes expected in a Salesman Portfolio. Includes the "Happy Sambo" engraved plate. Used to solicit subscriptions for "The Publisher's Holiday Books for 1895.".
