[Braamfontien, Transvaal], Transvaal Leader, n.d., [ca. December, 1904]. Octavo broadside, approx. 8¾" x 6"; previous folds, a few short splits and tears (no loss); good. A commercial broadside advertising the business of John Swift, undertaker, who here uses the obsequies to advertise his services and sell wreaths and flowers. With a large vignette of his premises at the top, the whole within a black border. Although Kruger left South Africa in 1900, and died in Switzerland, he was buried in Pretoria December 16, 1904. He was still much revered in South Africa where he had many friends and acquaintances.
