Fifth and best edition of possibly the most elegant of all horse & stable trade catalogues, folio, pp. [2], 303, [1]; single leaf of ads printed in blue and black bound in between p. 70-71; pictorial chromolithograph title- p., 6 chromolithograph plates, 2 chromolithograph plates printed on 2 sides, innumerable (well over 1000) illustrations throughout of the horse in all its splendor, and of various stable requisites, halters, muzzles, hitches, harnesses, bits, whips and crops, bridles, blankets, saddles, oils and dressing, clipping machines, sleighing plumes, bells, veterinary preparations, shields, boots, horns, jockey and riding outfits, etc.; spine very slightly spotted, one or two leaves loosening, else fine in original maroon cloth gilt-lettered on upper cover. Elegantly printed by E.D. Slater, Fulton St., New York, the chromos by E. D. Croker, also of New York.
