A curious book steeped in the music and lore of the Himalayas, told in letters on a trek from Leh to Srinagar in 1923-24. The maps, accomplished by the cartographer to the Royal Geographical Society, show glaciers as dragons and other Tibetan monsters and Buddhist symbols. At the back is a 5-p.
