First edition, 4to, pp. 123, [3]; frontispiece and title-page printed in black and red, many illustrations throughout text, and 23 plates (2 in full color with one being double-page), the whole printed "avec les caracteres originaux conserves dans la celebre officine [Musee Plantin- Moretus];" a very good copy, very lightly worn and soiled, in contemporary vellum-backed dark green paper-covered boards, lettered in gilt on spine, the original pictorial front wrapper bound in. With a large, striking wood- engraved bookplate in color marking this from the library of one Jaroslav Cerveny; the image signed by the artist, one Josef Hodere.
