First edition in French limited to 695 copies, 8vo, pp. 457-[461]; a very good, partially unopened copy in original orange wrappers printed in white and black, the upper front corner bumped, a trace of soiling to wrappers, and some brown spotting to edges. This copy with the original green wrap- around band printed in black: "Le Miller des 'Tropiques'," which has been torn at fore-edge so that a reader could gain access to the textblock. This edition, printed the same year as first English edition, actually precedes it. Shifreen and Jackson A120b.
