Daniels was a former CEO of Archer Daniels Midland Co. which is grandfather founded in 1901. His collection of sporting books, which has been donated to the National Sporting Library, was world renown. His correspondence with the Saratoga Springs bookseller, Helen Hennessey, who helped form his collection, is a rare insight into the book trade as well as the private lives of each.
