Robert Boyle was an Irish 17th century natural philosopher, chemist, physicist and inventor. He was noted for his writings in theology to which he devoted much time, showing a very decided leaning to the practical side and an indifference to controversial polemics. In a full calf binding. Externally, rubbed with bumping and some loss to leather. Front joint and hinge failed with board detached but present. Rear joint and hinge starting but generally firm. Endpapers missing but otherwise complete. Internally, firmly bound. Pages bright with spotting, handling marks and ink stains throughout. Ink signatures to first title page. Good . Ill.: None.
