Bookplate to the front pastedown indicates that this book belonged to the library of the Essex Archaeological Society. All works but one are by Henry William Lewer, with the first being written by Florence Lewer. In a full cloth binding. Externally, generally smart with rubbing to the head and tail of spine and to the extremities. Spine has browned. Bumping to the head and tail of spine. Bookplate of prior owner to the front pastedown, Essex Archaeological society. Shelf number written to the front pastedown also. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are slightly age toned. Small tidemark to paper wraps of John Browne not affecting text. Prior owner's inscription to the front wrap of most sections. Final leaf is severely browned. Instances of light scattered spots.
