The novel focusses on the guiding presence her sister had, Marie-Aimee. Marguerite Audoux wrote four novels in total, but is best known for her semi-autobiographical Marie-Claire. In a quarter morocco binding with paper covered boards. Externally, generally smart with some rubbing to the paper covered boards, particularly the rear board. Some minor rubbing to the spine also, at the head and tail. Prior owner's signature to recto of front free endpaper, 'C L S&apos. Internally, firmly bound.
