Barton discusses the frontier and the politics, tribes and imperial strategy, with accounts of what life was like there. In the publisher's original cloth. Externally generally smart with marks to the boards and slight bumping to the extremities. Tidemarks to the tails of the endpapers with a bookseller's stamp to the front free endpaper and light offsetting. Front hinge tender after the front blanks. Internally pp. xiii disbound but present with strain in places, otherwise generally firmly bound. Pages lightly age toned with tidemarks to the tails of the pages to the front and rear, scattered spotting to pp. 32-33 and the odd spot and minor mark throughout. Very Good . Ill.: None stated.
