It was originally published in 1857, although was partially censored due to "immorality". 'Les Fleurs du Mal' is said to have greatly influenced a number of poets, including Paul Verlaine and Arthur Rimbaud. Introduced by fellow French poet, Gilbert Lely. In quarter calf binding with paper-covered boards. Externally, excellent, with light shelf wear and the odd mark. Internally, firmly bound. Pages bright and clean, although a touch age toned.
