Loyal to King James VII, he lead the Jacobite rising, losing his life in battle.Undated, dated by the preface. In the publisher's original cloth. Externally very smart with fading to the spine and the odd minor mark to the boards. Very light offsetting to the endpapers with a very minor tidemark to the rear hinge.
