Lionel Edwards was British painter who specialised in painting hunting scenes and British country life. His work was frequently featured in books on hunting, such as this one, and in popular magazines such as 'Country Life' and 'The Sphere&apos. This work on fox hunting was written by 'Sabretache' (a pseudonym for Albert Stewart Barrow). Sabretache wrote many works on the subject of hunting including 'Hunting the Fox' and 'A Gentleman and his Hounds&apos. This work focuses on the subject of hunting hounds, discussing various hunting parties and hound breeds from different areas across Britain, including the deerhound. In the publisher's original cloth.
