Lady Barker used her experiences during this time to write "A Year"s Housekeeping in South Africa".With a thirty-nine page publisher's catalogue to the rear, dated October 1878.Illustrated with a title page and eight plates. Collated, complete. In the publisher's original cloth binding. Boards bright, with a touch of discolouration to back strip. Bumping to spine head and tail. Front hinge strained, but firmly held.
