He travelled a lot, to France, Germany, and Belgium, drawing as he went, published numerous collections of scenic books. His work was also exhibited at the Royal Academy.Ink inscription of Caroline Dawson to the recto of the front free endpaper, and J. Roger Dawson to the title page. J. Roger Dawson was the first editor of the North Wales Weekly News. In a half calf binding with marbled paper to the boards. Externally, generally smart, with some rubbing to the boards and spine. Minor bumping to the extremities. Spine is a little faded, with fading to the tail of the boards, heavier to the rear board. Light spots to the leather. Six photographs pasted to the recto of the front free endpaper, ink inscription to the head. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and spotted, heavier to the plates.
