Ink inscription to the front free end paper, dated 1924. Godfrey Fox Bradby (1863-1947) was a schoolmaster at Rugby School, who also had a wide-ranging literary career. He wrote poems, novels, literary criticism and hymns. This is his novel concerning a fictional school called Dawnhope, which is now an uncommon work. In publisher's original pictorial cloth binding, with original unclipped dust wrapper. Externally, cloth is very smart, with just a little fading to the spine. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean except for some offsetting to the end papers. Dust wrapper is lightly soiled, and chipped to the head and tail of the spine and to the folds of the wrap, but is otherwise smart. Very Good . Ill.: Robin. Very Good .
