He is considered to be pre-Romantic.Prior owner's ink inscription to the recto of the front free endpaper, inscribed 'His Britannic Majesty's Ship Tagus, Spithead, Nov 1813&apos. In a full calf inding. Externally, generally smart, with some light marks to the boards and spine, including a tidemark to the rear board. Minor bumping to the extremities. A small amount of loss to the head of the spine. Small crack to the front joint. Prior owner's ink inscription to the recto of the front free endpaper. Internally, firmly bound.
