Blomfield gives an account of the history of Bicester, from the days of Roman occupation to the 19th century. He also explores the history of the parish church, and of the Priory of St. Edburg, from its beginnings until its dissolution. James Charles Blomfield (1821-1895) was Rector of Launton and an antiquarian. In a half calf binding. Externally, in lovely condition. Internally, firmly bound.
