This is a fascinating work gathering together a glossary of the dialect used in the north of England in the early nineteenth century. Rebound in cloth, with original straight grain morocco boards and back strip with gilt detailing laid down. Externally, exceptionally lovely. Endpapers renewed. Internally, firmly bound. Signed letter tipped in. Pages generally clean and bright, with scattered light handling marks, and the odd instance of concentrated spotting. Annotations to a small number of blanks. Very Good .
