His works are fine examples of works of realism, due to his keep representation of society and norms. His magnum opus is widely considered to be La Comedie Humaine, which presented France its post-Napoleonic days. Handsomely bound in half morocco, with gilt detailing to the spine. Externally, lovely, with just a touch of shelf wear. Original paper wraps bound in. Internally, firmly bound. Light spotting to the pages. Very Good Indeed .
