His works were influential on the likes of Voltaire, John Adams and Thomas Jefferson.Edited and published by David Mallet (c1705-1765), a Scottish writer and dramatist.Printed the year subsequent to the subject's death. In a contemporary full calf binding. Externally generally smart; spine and extremities are somewhat rubbed, with a sticker to the head of the spine. Contemporary inscription to the front endpaper, as well as annotations throughout the text. Internally, generally firmly bound; front hinge is starting, but binding is otherwise tight.
