Collated, complete.Containing the diary entries of the author, alongside letters, sketches and photographs from Lewis Carroll himself.This biography of writer Lewis Carroll, aimed at child audiences, was written by actress and close friend of Carroll, Isa Bowman. Having performed as the titular character in the 1888 stage revival of 'Alice in Wonderland', she befriended the author and for periods lived with him between the ages of fifteen and nineteen. Carroll dedicated his final novel, 'Sylvie and Bruno', to Bowman in 1899. In publisher's original cloth binding. Some marks to boards. Extremities and head and tail of spine bumped. Front hinge slightly strained but firm. Front endpapers a little wrinkled. Internally, generally firmly bound. Frontispiece and tissue guard spotted, with tissue guard partially detached.
