Written by William Brodrick, a British novelist, who is particularly best known for this novel, which was his debut. In the original publishers cloth binding, in the original unclipped dustwrapper and the original scrace wraparound, proof is in the original publisher's paper wraps. Externally, fine. Dustwrapper is fine. Wraparound is fine. Proof with a small amount of edgewear, and a small crease to the rear wrap. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright with just a touch of age-toning to the edges, as is usual, and clean. Proof copy has a couple of very light spots to the first and last few pages. Proof is in near fine condition.
